Pinto Bean and Chorizo Soup

Ingredients
2 cup Food Lion, Pinto Beans (Dry Beans) (by WAISTED) 8 oz Chorizo, pork and beef 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw 1 medium Carrots, raw 3 tsp Garlic 1 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cumin - ground (1 tsp) (by INFORM555) 2 serving beef boullion cube (by EM4147) .5 cup Salsa
Directions
Brown the chorizo in a skillet over medium-high heat. Using a mortar and pestle, smash garlic and salt until a paste is made. Add paste and chorizo to a 4-quart slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients and stir well to combine. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour and then, reduce to low and cook for 8 hours.
