Slow Cooker Beer, Cheese, and Sausage Soup

Ingredients
14 oz. beef smoked sausage, halved and sliced4 cups beef broth12 oz. regular beer1 cup chopped onion4 tsp. minced garlic1 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes1/2 tsp. black pepper1 cup heavy cream8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature8 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
Place a liner in a slow cooker, if desired.

Place the sausage, broth, beer, onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in the slow cooker. Cook on high for 4 hours.

Mix the cream cheese and heavy cream in the bowl of a mixer. Beat until smooth. Add the cream cheese mixture and the shredded cheese to the slow cooker. Stir until well blended.

Cook for an additional 2 hours. Taste and add salt, if needed.
