Franc's Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Ingredients
3 lb. beef chuck roast6 cloves garlic, chopped or pressed3 Tbsp. Olive Oil5 large Basil leaves, torn into tiny bits4 Tbsp. Oregano, ground or finely chopped (if fresh)3 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
Directions
Place roast, chopped garlic, olive oil and basil into a gallon size ziploc bag. Make sure the mixture is rubbed all over the roast and marinate at least a couple of hours- overnight is better. Sear roast in skillet or on griddle until all sides are just brown. Place roast and marinade in slow cooker with remaining ingredients and enough water to just cover the meat. Turn on low for about 5 hours or until falling apart. Makes about 6 servings.
