Double Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

3/4 cup Applesauce, unsweetened1/2 cup Brown Sugar1 1/2 cups Quick Oats 1 (18.25 oz) box Devil's Food Cake Mix. DO NOT MAKE AS DIRECTED ON BOX1 cup Chocolate Chips
Makes 5 dozen (60) cookies
* Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
* Line 2 cookie sheets with foil. Spray the foil with nonfat cooking spray.
* In a large bowl mix the applesauce and brown sugar with a spatula until well mixed.
* Stir in the oats and dry cake mix. Continue stirring until well mixed.
* Stir in the chocolate chips until well mixed and chips are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
* Drop the cookie dough onto the prepared cookie sheets by the rounded teaspoonful.
* Dip a fork into water and press the dough down to about 1 1/2 inch circles.
* Bake for 12-13 minutes
SPECIAL NOTE:
If you don't trust yourself to have all these cookies hanging around the house, you can freeze the dough after it's portioned. Then whenever you want a few more, bake as needed.
