My Meatballs

Ingredients
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1.5 cup, chopped Onions, raw 1 clove Garlic 8 oz 85% Lean Ground Beef8 oz Pork Sausage 1/2 cup Italian Bread Crumbs1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated 1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw 1/2 tsp Oregano, ground 1/2 tsp Salt 1/4 tsp Pepper, black 1/4 tsp Basil
Directions
1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until golden, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Transfer to large bowl and cool completely.
2. Add ground beef, sausage, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, and spices to onion and mix well. Cover and refrigerate up to 4 hrs.
3. Position rack in center of 375° oven. Lightly oil cast iron skillet. Shape meat mixture into meatballs. Arrange meatballs in skillet. Bake until lightly brown (about 25 minutes)
4. Transfer meatballs to a platter. Pour off fat from skillet, reserving browned bits in the pan. Heat over high heat. When it sizzles pour in 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil. Stir into My Pasta Sauce (previously made). Add meatballs to sauce and continue to simmer. Cook stirring occasionally for 30 minutes or until meatballs are heated through. Add 1/2 cup of wine.
