Red Beans and Rice

Ingredients
1.0 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper1.0 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw1.87 cup Tomato Sauce, Hunts Sauce0.75 cup Tomato Paste16.0 oz Conecuh Hickory Smoked Sausage3.8 cup red kidney beans, canned3.0 cup White Rice, medium grain1.0 tbsp Smart Balance Light Spreadable Butter & Canola Oil
Directions
Cut sausage into bite sized pieces and brown. In the meantime, chop up one onion and one bell pepper. Add those and cook for another 6-7 minutes or until onions and bell pepper are soft. Add in canned ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, lower the temperature to about a 3 (medium low heat) and cover. Allow flavors to mix for at LEAST 30 minutes. In a separate pot, follow instructions for making 3 cups of rice while waiting.
