Drain the liquid and pour it into a pan along with the soda pop. 6 oz Dr. Pepper Bring liquids to a boil, and add 2 packages of jello to the liquid. 8 serving Black Cherry Sugar Free Jello (small packs)Stir well, so there aren’t any globs in the bottom. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup of ice cubes to the pan and stir till liquid begins to thicken. Remove remaining cubes. 3.25 serving Cheese - Cottage Cheese (Low Fat 2%) - Daisy brand - 1/2C (1 3/4 cups) Mix the cottage with the drained fruit cocktail. Put into medium sized casserole pan (8†x 14†or larger)’Then pour the red jello over the top. Use a fork to jiggle the jello down into the cottage or skip this step if you don’t care. Let the salad set up in the refrigerator for an hour or so, uncovered. Cut into 8 equal portions.
You can substitute Diet Dr. Pepper, but don’t heat it. The sugar substitute will turn bitter.
I cooked in a pan on the stove, but you could microwave this. Use a larger container than usual in case of boiling over.
