Vegan Split Pea Soup

0.25 tsp Pepper, black 1 cup, chopped Carrots, raw 2 stalk, medium (7-1/2" - 8" long) Celery, raw 2 clove Garlic 1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw 2 medium (2-1/4" to 3-1/4" dia.) Potato, raw 7 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap 1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil 2 cup Green Split Peas- Dried 2 tsp Salt
Put all ingredients in crock pot. I added 2 small bay leaves and 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme to it as well. Set on low a good 8 hours. If peas are not dissolved to mush, then you can put in a pot and simmer a little longer until they liquify.
