Cowboy Beans

Ingredients
1 lb dry pinto beans4 slices bacon, cut into pieces2 tbsp oil1 small onion, chopped1 clove garlic, minced1-2 jalapenos2 tsp chili powder1 tsp cumin1 tsp salt1/2 tsp black pepper
Directions
Rinse beans and soak overnight. Drain, rinse and cover by about 1 inch with water. Add bacon and bring to a boil. Then cover and reduce heat to a simmer. Meanwhile, saute vegetables in skillet with oil. Add chili powder. Once beans have made a sauce/gravy (about 1 1/2 - 2 hours) add vegetables and spices. Simmer, covered for about 30 more minutes.
