Ingredients
4.0 cup Beef broth, bouillon, consomme4.0 cup, chopped Cabbage, fresh2.0 medium Carrots, raw diced4.0 clove Garlic minced2.0 large Onions, raw chopped 3.0 tbsp Parsley chopped3.0 cup Tomato juice, with salt added3.0 medium (4-1/2" long) Banana Peppers sliced4.0 tsp Granulated Sugar0.5 cup Rice, white, long-grain, regular, raw, enriched16.0 oz 80/20 ground beef chuck
Directions
In a stock pot sauté ground beef on low until browned. Add onion and peppers, sauté until translucent. Add garlic, cook 1 minute. Add cabbage and carrots, cook until just softened. Add broth, tomato juice and sugar, stir and bring to a simmer. Add rice , simmer 20 minutes or until rice is cooked . Take off heat, stir in parsley. Serving Size: Makes 12 1-cup servings
