1\2 cup Butter (1 stick softened)2 Tbsp Splenda1 Egg3 cups unsweetened applesauce (24 oz. jar)1 tsp vanilla2 cups flour2 tsp baking soda1\2 tsp cinnamon1\4 tsp cloves1 cup chopped dates (or raisins)1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and splenda until smooth. Add egg and beat until well mixed. Add applesauce and mix until blended. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to mixture while mixing. Stir in dates and pecans.
Pour into 13 x 9 inch ungreased baking dish and bake for 1 hour. Makes 12 3-inch servings.
