Ingredients
Directions
1 tomato, cut in half with even, flat bottoms1 pat of butter - halved1/8 tsp garlic powder1 tablespoon grated parmeasan cheese
Preheat oven's broiler
Place tomatoes on a broiler pan - oil not needed
dab butter on top of each tomato half
sprinkle with garlic powder
sprinkle with cheese
I top it off with a sprinkle of paprika
Broil 3 inches from heat source approximately 10 minutes....IF, top starts browning before the tomato is soft, reduce heat to 300 degrees and finish off the cooking that way. 10 minutes is all it should take either way, depending on the age of your tomato.
The nutrients are used for 1 Serving, a lunch side it could easily serve 2. Increasing is easy as the timing does not change as long as there is space between each tomato. I've cooked as many at 10 at one time.
