Rhubarb Pie (My Family Recipe)

Filling:6 c diced rhubarb1 c flour2 c sugarCrust:3 c sifted flour1 tsp salt1.25 c shortening8-10 tbsp cold water
Assemble filling and set aside in a warm location to juice.
Mix crust ingrediants and make crust for 9-inch round pie plate.
Assemble pie.
Cover edges of pie crust with aluminum foil or edge cover. Bake at 450 deg F (235 deg C) for approximately 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove crust coverings and bake for 10 minutes or until crust is of desired brownness.
