The taste is great. Sadly like any thing with ham it is extremly high in sodium...over half a days worth in one serving. I think next time I will try it with just a pork roast that hasn't been cured with salt. I will also use more garlic as I just love garlic. - 3/28/09

I made it for Christmas Eve and everyone loved it, it was soooo tasty with the garlic cloves!!! I made split pea soup with the leftover, which was not much - 12/30/08

Okay, again, I changed some things to fit what I had in my cabinet. I didn't have molasses, so I used honey syrup. My dh told me to make ½ regular. He ended up eating the half that was made like this!! LOL!! Delicious!! - 3/20/07

absolutely fabulous! We didn't have molasses so we used karo syrup. Was still GREAT!!!!! Even the neighbors wanted to know what smelled so good! I did mine in the crock pot and it was still great. - 8/21/07

Used the same amount of 'sauce' for a larger ham, and it was more than enough. Added excellent flavor to an otherwise boring ham. - 4/9/07

Really liked this but way too much pepper, will probably try using only one teaspoon next time - 1/29/13
