Afghan Chicken and Peas - fast and easy

Ingredients
200 g Chicken Breast1 cup chopped onion1 cup chopped tomatoes3 cloves garlic3 spoons tomato paste1 cup green Peas, canned1 cup watersaltcurrygaram masala (optional)turmeric (optional)
Directions
Put in a dish oil and fry onions till light gold. Add garlic and then chicken chopped in cubes. Keep mixing until chicken is lightly cooked.

Put tomatoes and cook for a while until it is mixed, then mix the peas and mix the tomato paste along with a small cup of water.

Put salt and to make it more tasty add curry spice along with a little turmeric and indian spice Garam Masala.

Cover the dish and let it cook till tender.

Enjoy with rice or alone with bread

    This will become a staple in my house - the family lovd it! I subst. canned chopped tomatoes for the fresh, and frozen peas instead of canned. I also tossed in a cup of sliced mushrooms I had, just because they were there. Used a 50-50 mix of curry and garam masala. NO added salt - salted @table. - 4/23/10
