Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
2/3 c. shortening2/3 c. butter, softened1 c. granulated sugar1 c. brown sugar (packed)2 eggs2 tsp. vanilla3 c. all- purpose flour1 tsp. soda1 tsp. salt12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Heat oven to 375. Mix thoroughly shortening, butter, sugars. eggs and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8 minutes or until light brown. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.

Makes approx. 3 dozen cookies, depending on how large you make them.
