Great bread! Didn't have any flax seed but it turned out very good without. There's just the two of us but we use up two loaves in about a week so the recipe is perfect for us. - 10/24/20

We love this bread, it's great for toasting and grilling. I especially love the fact that it rises in the bread machine, but I can finish it and get two loaves - one for freezing for later!! Thanks! - 11/14/13

I made mine entirely in the bread machine, on the 2-lb loaf setting. It came out nice & dense, just the way I like it. A little salt-deficient to my palate, but that's easily fixed. (I don't have blood pressure problems.) Thanks for the recipe! - 10/30/13

Really Yummy Bread,, a bit confused on the Rises, do we let Rise in bread maker for a while and than 30 minutes in loaf pans? or just once.. I did just a one hour rise in bread pans... the taste and texture is wonderful but slices are only 4 X 2 short slices but good...I am thinking another rise? - 6/26/11

Really good. I reduced the salt by half cause my sodium intake is TOO high. Very happy! - 2/9/11

I too used the KitchenAid mixer. Easiest bread I ever made. - 9/11/10

I made this today and didn't change anything, except I left it in the bread maker to cook instead of splitting it and making 2 loaves in the oven. It still turned out really good!!! - 9/9/10

Have made this twice - once substituting sugar for molasses/honey and once with those as ingredients - both are very good. The molasses/honey flavor is an exact duplicate of the bread served at Bugaboo Creek Steakhouse.
    Thanks! - 11/18/09

I replaced the flax seed with 1 cup or cooked 12 grain Red Mill Cooked cerial, that had been cooled down to warm not hot. Can be made the day before. Should be warmed up to warm, where it is not cold or hot. - 8/23/09

Delicious, moist and very popular. The texture was really good, even though I baked it in the oven when I thought I was letting it rise (there is a little bread button on my oven that I hadn't used before, lol!) so I was delighted it came out so well. I made it without tins, too. Very simple! - 6/8/09

This is the first WW bread that's actually "not hard as a rock" WW bread! I absolutely love it. I don't use honey and molasses (2 Tbs sugar cane instead), wheat gluten, oil (light margarine instead). I also let it rise for 1h in the oven set at 100F. - 2/1/09

I didn't have flax seed so had to leave that out, but it still turned out great for my first ever bread made in a bread machine. Thanks! - 1/25/09

This was so good. You don't need a bread machine though, I just tossed all the ingredients in my kitchenaid to mix. Really delish and easy to make! - 7/21/08
