Apple Peanut crumble (Crockpot recipe)
- Number of Servings: 5
Ingredients
Directions
5 cooking apples, peeled and sliced (I put small in the nutrition calculation, so if they are medium perhaps use 4.)2/3 cup brown sugar, packed1/2 cup flour1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats1/2 t cinnamon1/2 t nutmeg1/3 cup smart balance light2 T natural peanut butter (I use the freshly ground peanut butter at Fred meyer; it's slightly less calories than Adam's)
Place apple slices in slow-cooking pot. In medium bowl, combine sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix in butter and peanut butter with pastry blender or fork. SPrinkle over apples. Cover pot and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours. Serve warm; plain, with ice cream or whipped cream (I would suggest low fat or fat free whipped cream if you can fit it into your diet, but this is already high in calories!) Makes 5 servings. I'm not sure how big the servings are, sorry.
