Apple Brown Betty

Ingredients
6-8 applies, peeled, cored, and sliced1 c sugar1 c flour1 t baking powder1 t salt1 egg, beaten2 T butter, meltedcinnamon to taste
Directions
Place apples in 9 inch pie plate. Mix together all dry ingredients; add beaten egg. Mixture will be crumbly. Spoon on top of apples. Drizzle butter over top and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.

    I made this with baby gold peaches instead of apples and it was divine! (baby golds are very sweet but incredibly firm and behave like good baking apples in that they don't turn to mush when cooked or baked) - 8/19/12
