Fancy Broccoli Slaw

Ingredients
2 c Broccoli Slaw (half a package)1/4 crunchy apple (granny smith, fuji, braeburn, etc), cut into small cubes, matchsticks, or bite sized slices.1.5 Tablespoons of dried sweetened cranberries (or golden raisins, or raisins, or dried cherries, etc)2 Tablespoons walnut pieces (or pecans or almonds, etc)~2 Tablespoon light mayonaise~1+ teaspoon balsamic vinegar~1/2 teaspoon lemon juicea small dash dash of salt~1/4 t coriander seed, ground~1/8 t anise seed, ground~1/8 t black pepper
Directions
Start the salad before you start the meat and the flavors will be ready when you're ready to eat!

In the bottom of a medium bowl mix together mayo, vinegar, and lemon juice. Add apple and slaw and mix thoroughly. The dressing should *just* coat the salad and a little more liquid will come out of the veg to make it more creamy. Add spices (with salt) and taste. You should be able to taste the spices are there, but not overwhelming. Add a bit more coriander/anise if you like. Stir in the nuts and dried fruit and refrigerate. You can enjoy right away, but the longer the salad sits, the more the flavors will blend. Makes nice leftovers for lunch the next day!
