Potato Casserole with Smoked Sausage

1 pkg smoked sausage2 pounds red potatoes8 oz lite Velveeta cheese16 oz lite Daisy sour cream2 servings Parmesan Cheese style grated topping1/2 onion, choppedsalt and pepper to taste
Slice smoked sausage into bite size pieces and cook with onion.
Cook potatoes until just done. Reserve 1/4 of potatoes and slice thinly.
Use remaining 3/4 of potatoes and smash with sour cream. Stir in Velveeta, sausage with onion and add remaining potato slices, mixing gently. Sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
Grease or spray baking dish with nonstick spray and add potato mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan style topping on top.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
