Into a pan of water add all the beans, lentils and oats. Let them cook for 20 minutes. Add the spring onion finely chopped, the and bay leaf for flavour. Chop up the sweet potatoe into small chunks and add to the pan. Bring the ingredients to the boil for 20 minutes. Lower the heat and simmer for a further 30 minutes. Leave to stand and serve.
