Autumn Baked Beans

Ingredients
Beans, navy, 1.6 cup (remove)Bush's Butter Beans, Large, 1.5 Cup (remove)Beans, great northern, 3 cup (remove)Molasses, 2 tbsp (remove)Maple Syrup, .33 cup (remove)Tomato Paste, 0.5 cup (remove)Olive Oil, 1 tbsp (remove)Apples, fresh, 2.5 cup, quartered or chopped (remove)Onions, raw, 4 large (remove)
Directions
Saute onions in a little oil until golden brown. Place beans in a slow cooker, then add chopped apples, onions, and remaining ingredients.

I cook tthis in a slow cooker until about 2.5 hours for canned beans, all day for dry.

    Looks tasty, but I can't figure out why a potion is so many calories. What is a portion size?

    A portion is about 1.5 cups, and it is all the beans that pushes up the calorie count.
