Chow Mein (Beef)

Ingredients
1 lb 93% ground beef1/3 cup chopped onions1 clove garlic (or 1 tsp minced garlic)1/3 cup chopped celery1/3 cup chopped carrots1 can bean sprouts1/2 can bamboo shoots1/2 can water chestnuts sliced1-2 Tbsp cornstarch1 tsp beef bouillon1 Tbsp sugar2 Tbsp soy sauce
Directions
Brown ground beef in nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add onions and garlic; saute until clear.
Add celery and carrots. When hot add bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, and water chestnuts including liquid. Stir in corn starch and bouillon.
Add sugar and soy sauce to taste. Cook until thickened and hot.

You can use chicken or pork as desired. Serve over chow mein noodles or rice (add a few noodles on top for crunch.
You can freeze remaining bamboo shoots and water chestnuts to use next time.
