Chicken Italian

Ingredients
4 skinless chicken breasts100gms lean bacon100gms fresh mushrooms1 green pepper1 yellow pepper1 can chopped tomatoes1stp oregano2 basil leaves1 clove garlic400gms pasta shapes ie/ penne or bows1 stp salt
Directions
firstly prepare your veg and meat;-
1) deceed and slice both peppers, slice mushrooms and place to one side
2) wash and slice chicken, chop bacon and crush garlic
3) warm a large skillet pan on a medium heat - add bacon, mushrooms and garlic allowing to cook in the juices of the bacon for 5 minutes
4) add chicken and cook for a further 5miutes before adding herbs, tomatoes and peppers - allow dish to come to a low simmer and cover with a large lid. Cook for 40 minutes, stirring occasionally
5) after 40 minutes bring a large pan of salted water to the boil - add pasta and cook for 12 minutes.Remove basil leaves from main dish
6) drain and dish up cooked pasta, add chicken and vegetables
7) serve
this dish serves four people
