Bake in a preheated 375 -400 F oven for about 10 -15 minutes or until breadcrumbs begin to toast. [Pressed for time? Toss the mackerel fillets in the pan with bacon and onions to warm, transfer to an broiler proof dish, top with breadcrumbs and place briefly under the broiler to toast the crumbs]
