Piernik with butter

1kg of flour, roughly 5 cups1/2 kg of honey2 cups of granulated sugar250 g of unsalted butter0.5 cup 1% milk3 extra large eggs, fresh3 tdp of baking sodaSpices - cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom nutmeg or 2 packages of Polish Spices for Piernik (Przyprawa korzenna do piernika)
Heat slowly honey, butter and sugar almost to boiling. Leave to cool to the room temperature. Add flour, eggs, baking soda dissolved in milk and spices. Kneed well with hands. Form a ball, wrap well in plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator for 2 weeks at least. Then spred on the baking sheet , about 5cm (2") thick, or less and bake in 180C (350F) for about 45 min, depending on the thickness. You could make cookies, then baking time would be less than 20min.
