Grandma's Candied Yams

Ingredients
2 Large cans of Bruce's yams in heavy syrup (drain and reserve 1 cup of liquid from cans - set aside the rest)1 Cup sugar1 Tsp Vanilla extract1/2 stick of butter1/8 teaspoon sea salt (or pinch of salt)3 Tsp Cinnamon
Directions
Add all ingredients to a large skillet, stirring to dissolve. Cook on Medium/High heat until about 1/2 done then simmer on Low/Medium-low until sort of mushy with thick syrup.

Makes about 10-12 1/5 cup servings
