Basic Marinara Sauce

Ingredients
3 cans of tuttorosso crushed tomatoes with basil1 medium onion, well chopped4 cloves of garlic, well chopped2 6oz cans of tomato paste (optional-adds thickness)10 leaves of fresh basilparsley (fresh or dried)salt & pepper to taste2 tbsp of olive oil
Directions
In the bottom of a saucepan, put the olive oil and chopped onion and garlic and brown over medium high heat.
turn down heat and add 3 cans crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, parsley, basil leaves.

simmer over low heat for several hours (at least 2).
