Hungarian Lettuce Salad

Ingredients
1 Head Lettuce.3 C Salt.5 C. Sour Cream, low fat
Directions
Take a large bowl and by hand shred the lettuce into it, salting each layer. Put another dish on top with something heavy (large can of tomatoes, eg) on that dish, in order to apply weight to the lettuce. Let it stand for 4 hrs, or more so that the water is released. Squeeze the lettuce and place into a colander, rinse thoroughy. The lettuce should be limp. Dry it well and place in your salad bowl. Take the sour cream, add a small dash of salt, and mix with the lettuce just before serving.
