Hungarian Bean Soup

Ingredients
500 grams navy beans500 grams smoked pork hock3 cups canned tomatoes, no salt added1 tbsp bay leaf (or 1 whole)2 garlic cloves1 cup onion, choppped2 tbsp black pepper2 cups (approx) water
Directions
Pre-soak the beans over night in water to double the amount of beans. Pour out the water, add the rest of ingredients and cook. If using the slow cooker, I put mine on low for 6-8 hrs and may add some water for additional liquid. If on stove top, bring to slow boil and simmer for 2-3 hrs until beans are cooked.
