Fantastic substitute for the real thing! I used smart balance instead of I Can't Believe without a problem. I didn't have the lemon extract on hand and I would definitely use it next time as I like lemon bars to be quite tart. Dusted with just a touch of confectioners sugar after cool - outstanding! - 3/29/09

This recipe is great exactly as it is! I love lemon bars and these make it ok to eat one or two! (Grinded rind is to grate the outside rind of the lemon & juice 1/3 of the lemon by squeezing 1/3 of a lemon) The splenda with a small amount of sugar works wonderfully. Great recipe-it's a keeper! - 7/14/10

I would like to try the recipe, but I don't use artificial sweeteners like splenda. The upset my stomach. If someone has modified the recipe I would like to hear it. - 7/14/10

I will have to make over this recipe using natural healthier ingredients like coconut oil, stevie and almond flour, healthier is more important than a few calories. Thanks for the idea though. - 7/13/10

haven't tried it yet, will use a real lemon, not "RealLemon", but what is juiced & grinded? The lemon would already be "juiced" for the juice?? But it sounds great, my husband is diabetic so I use Splenda. - 7/13/10

The reason I had to put bad here is because I used lemon juice out of a yellow bottle and didn't realize until I asked around that the juice is concentrated. I took one little bite and spit it right out! I don't know if they would be good if I didn't use that, but I won't be trying these again. - 7/21/10

Thanks for this lo-cal,lo-sugar lemony bars! I can tell by the recipe it will be divine; especially for my diabetic friends. They will love the tartness plus the sweetness. The almonds I use will be sliced and i'll crush them up; I believe it will give it the extra surprise to an already great cake. - 7/20/10
