Hamburger Pie (pizza flavored)

Ingredients
1 lb. lean ground beef1 can spaghetti sauce (26 1/2 oz.)1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded1/4 to 1/2 cup onions, diced1 can Pillsbury Crescent rollsSalt and pepper to taste (optional)Garlic powder to taste (optional)
Directions
Brown hamburger with onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add one can of spaghetti sauce. In the meantime, take half of crescent rolls and place on bottom of 8 x 8 pan. Place in 375 degree oven for 10 minutes. Take out and put half of hamburger mixture on top of crescent rolls. Sprinkle half of mozzarella and half of cheddar. Repeat layers. Then place rest of crescent rolls on top of cheese and bake in 375 degree oven for 15 minutes. Let set 5 minutes before serving. May be baked ahead and rewarmed. Makes 8 servings.

    This is a quick and easy recipe. I will probably roll out the crescent rolls next time to cover the dish completely and cook for a few extra minutes...my top was still a little raw. Will make this one again!! - 1/19/09
