Linda's "Inn the Kitchen" Taco Soup

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs Lean ground beef or ground turkey1/2 C Chopped onion1 (26 oz) Can whole tomatoes with juice OR2 (15-oz) Cans of any diced tomatoes 2 (14 oz) Cans red kidney beans with juice1 (17 oz) Can corn with juice1 Pkg. Taco or Chili seasoning 2-4 C Water1 Sml. Can of Diced Chilis1 (8-oz) Can tomato sauce
Brown beef or turkey in heavy kettle.
Drain and add onions. Cook until onions are tender.
Add tomatoes, red kidney beans, corn tomato sauce, taco or chili seasoning and water.
Simmer for 15-45 minutes.
Ladle into bowls.
Optional: Top with grated cheese.
