Ingredients
2 small organic apples1 packed teaspoon of brown sugar1 teaspoon of cinnamon or apple pie spice
Directions
Cut the top off both apples. Scoop out the core and seeds. Mix the sugar and spices together and divide between the two apples ( into the hollow). Put the tops back on the apples and place them in a small oven safe bowl. Add a tablespoon of water to the bowl. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. I'm sure these could be cooked in the microwave as well. Perfect for a cold evening when you just need something homey and sweet. Not to mention good for you!

Very good. Even though I am trying to cut back on sugar, I made them with the brown sugar. - 1/31/10

Yum! I did add 1/4 tsp ICBIN butter to each as well but I'm sure they would be pretty good without that too! - 1/18/09

I made baked apples, except I cut them up first and used only cinnamon. I bet they would be even better with the brown sugar. - 1/16/09
