Baking Powder Biscuits

Ingredients
1/3 cup shortening1 3/4 cup flour2 1/2 tsp baking powder3/4 tsp salt3/4 cup milk
Directions
Cut shortening into dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) with a pastry blender or fork until it resembles fine crumbs. Stir in just enoug milk so the dough leaves the sides and forms a ball. Turn dough onto a slightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet almost touching together. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove immediately.

Makes about 6-8 biscuits
