Ingredients
12 boneless skinless chicken thighs or 6 boneless skinless chicken breast halves1 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup lemon-lime soda 2/3 cup white or white wine vinegar 3 cloves smashed and chopped garlic2 T soy sauce 1 tsp ground black pepper
Directions
Use a 5-6 quart crockpot for this recipe.

Plop the chicken into your crockpot. Cover with the brown sugar, pepper, chopped garlic, and soy sauce. Add the vinegar, and pour in the soda. It will bubble!

Cover and cook on low for 6-9 hours, or on high for 4-5. The chicken is done when it is cooked through and has reached desired consistency. The longer you cook it, the more tender it will be.

Serve over a bowl of white rice with a ladle full of the broth.

The Verdict.

Seriously. Go to the store. This is what's for dinner.

I made this using a whole chicken. It came out super moist and very tasty. I will definitely being making this one again. Only cooked six hours which seemed like the perfect time. - 2/15/10

This was amazing - I only cooked mine with 6 frozen boneless chicken breasts for 6 hours. Then served it over rice - oh my YUMMY!!! After seeing a negative comment on the original blog - I came here to check the healthiness. At 300 cal per serving this is just mighty fine even with adding rice! - 12/7/09

This was very dry. There wasn't any "broth" to serve over rice. What did I do wrong? - 6/16/11

This is sooooo good! I didn't have any white wine vinegar, so I used red wine vinegar instead. I added a bit more Sprite Zero because I was a bit short on even the red wine vinegar. I did a whole chicken and it was done in about 4.5 hrs. Will DEF eat again!!!!! - 3/21/11
