Fred's Fabulous Caesarish Salad

Ingredients

One head Romaine lettuce1/2 cup olive oil3 tsp Worcestershire Sauce5 or 6 cloves garlic1/2 a 2 oz. can of anchovies in olive oil1 tsp salt1 tsp pepperparmesan cheesecroutons
Rub the inside of a large salad bowl with a clove of garlic.
Pour the 1/2 cup of Extra Virgin Olive Oil into a small bowl.
Crush the desired number of garlic gloves into the cup.
Add Worcestershire sauce.
Finely chop anchovies and add to bowl.
Add salt and pepper.
Mix well with a fork. Place the cup in the fridge for dressing to chill while you prepare the lettuce (chilling the dressing helps it "stick" to the lettuce better.)
Wash and dry the Romaine well. Tear leaves into small, bite-sized pieces and place in prepared bowl. (Fred was a stickler for small pieces -- okay, I cheat and just buy it pre-washed and pre-torn in bags!)
Pour dressing over lettuce and toss to coat all those little pieces. Add parmesan and croutons and toss again.
Enjoy! It's great with pasta, or soup, or a steak...or just a good loaf of crusty bread and a glass of wine.
