Beef Barley Soup

Ingredients
12 oz boneless steak, cubed1/2 cup pearl barley6 cups water1 cup baby carrots, chopped1 sweet onion, chopped1 cup celery, chopped1 tsp salt1/4 tsp pepper1 cup lima beans
Directions
In a saucepan, combine the meat, barley and water.
Bring to a boil.
Skim off any foam.
Add the carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper.
Bring back to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 45 min.
Stir in the lima beans, cook, covered for another 15 min.
