Ingredients
 1 cup milk 1/4 cup flour 1 cup sugar  1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup white shortening 1/2 cup butter, softened 1 teaspoon vanilla or other flavoring
Directions
(1) In a saucepan mix the flour with the milk.
(2) Cook until thick, stirring constantly; cool.
(3) Add sugar, salt, shortening, butter and vanilla.
(4) Beat until fluffy.
(5) Spread on the cooled cake.
(6) Store in refrigerator.
