Ingredients
Directions
1 package of Pillsbury Crusty French Loaf refrigerated doughapprox. 6 cups of baby spinach (it shrinks while cooking so it may seem like a lot)6 sticks of Sargento Light string cheese
1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
2. Take out the dough and split into 6 equal sections. Spread the dough out until its flat and about an 1/8 inch thick but not so it breaks.
3. For every section of dough, peel one stick of string cheese and layer it on the dough.
4. After layering the cheese, thoroughly wash the spinach and dry it. Take about 1 cup of the spinach and place it in the middle of each dough section. (One cup is an approximation - you can use more or less depending on how much you like spinach)
5. Flatten the spinach and pull the dough together so it makes a pouch with the spinach and cheese inside.
6. Make sure you spray the pan with cooking spray then place the turnovers on the pan with the seam down. (If the seam is up it might come open in the oven.)
7. Bake for about 20-25 minutes depending on your oven. The tops will be browning when they are ready.
8. Take them out and pair them with a nice salad and ENJOY!
