Green beans with bacon

Ingredients
3 cans French green beans1/2 c raw onion, chopped fine3 slices baconsalt & pepper to taste
Directions
Cut bacon up and fry in saute pan. Do no drain grease.

Add onion and saute.

Drain water from green beans and add to bacon and onion. Add salt and pepper. Stir well.

Let simmer for about 20 on med-low heat.

    Use no salt green beans , use turkey bacon(but leave out til the end) use 1 tablespoon canola oil and fry them instead of simmering them. Wonderful....my kids love them this way. - 3/7/07
