Egg-free, Oil-free Chocolate Cake

1-1/2 c. flour1/2 c. sugar1/4 c. cocoa1 tsp. baking soda1/2 tsp. salt1/3 c. unsweetened apple sauce1 c. water1 tbs. vinegar1 tsp. vanilla extract1/4 c. chocolate syrup
Preheat to 350 degrees F. Mix all ingredients -except chocolate syrup- in bowl until smooth; pour into greased/floured 9x13 cake pan and bake 20-25 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes, cut into 12 slices, and spoon chocolate syrup atop each piece.
