Ingredients
1 lb ground beef1/2 cup minced onion1/2 cup green pepper chopped1 8 oz can tomato sauce1 tsp chili powder1/4 tsp pepper1 tsp salt2 tbsp catsup----------------Jiffy corn muffin mix1 large egg1/3 cup milk
Directions
Brown onions, green pepper and onions until brown. drain. Add tomato sauce, catsup, chili powder and salt & pepper and mix. Turn into 2 qt casserole dish. Make corn muffin mix according to directions and cover meat. Bake 25 minutes at 400 or until topping is cooked.

    brown the MEAT, onions, and peppers...(not the onions, peppers and onions.)
    I made the meat in two diff. pans, because half the family doesn't like onions/peppers. We only got 8 helpings, and everyone wanted more - five helpings is probably closer to reality. Delish!! - 5/23/11

    We thought this meal was delicious. I added some garlic powder to the meat, but that's just personal preference. I don't see how you can get nine servings out of this as a meal though. We got about 5. Still a GREAT dish though! Definitly try it!! - 2/27/09
