Finnish Style Meat Balls

1 lb ground extra lean beef1 whole large egg1 onion, diced2 cloves garlic, diced2 slices whole grain bread3/4 C milk, 1%1 tsp allspice2 tsp ground black pepper3 tbsp ketchup1/3 cup flour2 tbsp oil
Break the bread slices up into small pieces, but into bowl and pour the milk over them to soak.
Meanwhile, chop onion and garlic and add to meat. Break egg into small dish and wisk, add allspice,pepper and ketchup and mix well then add to meat mixture. Lightly squeeze the bread of the milk and add to the meat mixture. Mix well but don't over mix.
Put flour into a dish, make patties of the meat mixture approx 32 1/4 C each, lightly coat with flour and fry. I usually preheat the pan, make all the patties and put them in the pan at the same time. I do not add any oil unless I feel that its required. Cook well and serve. This goes good with turnip, boiled potatoes with small dollop of yogurt.
