Ingredients
1/4 cup olive oil3/4 cup flour1 1/5 tsp. garlic powder1 tsp. salt1 tsp. black pepper1 1/2 tsp. paprika2 lbs. potatoes cut in chunks14 oz. carrots, sliced3/4 c. red wine2 lbs. venison stew trimmed fat3 1/2 cups water
Directions
Roll meat in flour and fried in oil, put in crockpot, add the rest of ingredients and cook in slow for 7 hours.

Makes 8-2 cup servings

    Made this last night and it's a keeper! My changes were to add an onion (roughly chopped) and some chopped mushrooms. Could've used another 1/2-1 tsp. of salt in our opinion, plus I'll be experimenting by adding a bay leaf or parsley next time for that true "stew" flavor. LOVED it! THANKS 4 sharing - 11/29/12
