Ingredients
Directions
100 g fava beans, dried450 g ground turkey1/2 onion1 clove garlic1 tbsp olive oil1 1/2 cups tomato sauce1 1/2 cups diced tomatoes1 tbsp chili powderwater, as necessary.
Pre soak the fava beans.
Simmer the fava beans for an hour or two.
Cook the onions and garlic in the oil, and then add the turkey. When the turkey browns, drain off a bit of the excess oil, if you find you have too much.
Drain the fava beans. Add the turkey mixture to the pot, and add the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes. Stir, and let simmer. I added 1/2 cup of water and 1 tbsp chili powder at this point, you may need more or less water depending on how much simmering you plan on doing.
