Granola 2 cups oatmeal 3/4 cups unprocessed bran1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds 1/4 cup ground flax seed1 cup walnut pieces 1/4 wheat germ 1 apple 1 pear 2 tablespoon flax oil1/4 cup maple syrup 1/3 cup peanut butter
Mix together dry ingredients. Puree apple, pear, maple syrup and peanut butter together in small food processor. Add to dry ingredients and stir well to evenly coat oats. Bake on cookie sheets at 225 degrees for one and a half hours. Stir every 15 minutes. cool and store in plastic bags. I like to add in chopped dates or raisins after it has cooled and before storing just remember to add that to total calories they add extra fiber too
Serve plain as a snack or have the granola as a cereal in a bowl with milk.
