Chicken Adobo

2 pounds chicken thighs2 & 1/2 cups water1 cup dark brown sugar4 whole bay leaves1/2 cup ketchup1 & 1/2 cups vinegar1 small onion6 cloves garlic1 & 1/2 cups soy sauce
It feeds about 8.
Mix all ingredients together in pot and bring to a rapid boil for a minute.Then you put heat on medium and boil for 45 minutes.Take chicken out and pan fry with some sauce to braise the chicken.You can let it sit in the fridge over night if you would like to skim to fat of the surface before you pan fry it.
