Ingredients
1 lb ground beef1 T diced garlic1 sm can mild green chiles (diced)1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce1 (15 oz) can corn (drained)1 (15 oz) can green beans1 cup merlot or red wine1 T chili powderTopping 1 box Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix1/3 cup milk1 small can cream corn1 egg3/4 c cheddar cheese2 cans black olives
Directions
Preheat oven to 350.

Brown ground beef, drain.

Return beef to pan, add garlic, green chile, tomato sauce, wine, corn, green beans, chili powder. Let Simmer. (if too soupy add a small amount of flour to thicken).

In seperate bowl mix together, corn bread mix, cream corn, egg, milk and 1/2 of cheese. (I then used 1/2 to make biscuits and saved the other 1/2 for the topping.

Pour beef mixture into a 9x13 baking pan.

Pour topping over mixture, don't mix in.

Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until cornbread topping is golden brown.

Remove from oven and cover with remaining cheese and olives.

Note: I mixed olives in with beef/veggie mixture and cooked together.

The recipe I modified this from said it makes 12 servings, just making it tonight so I'm not sure what size a serving is.
